Removing an unwanted photo from Outlook 2011’s Me contact
One of my users had a problem, where he suddenly had a photo of himself appearing as part of emails he was sending. He didn’t want the photo being appended to outgoing emails, so he asked how to get rid of it. After some research, I was able to remove it. See below the jump for the procedure.
Click on Contacts in the lower-left corner of the Outlook window.
In Contacts, click the Organize tab.
Click the button called Me.
The Me contact stores information about the default main user of Outlook. Here’s how to remove photos from it:
Double-click the picture displayed in the contact.
Drag the picture out of the center box (direction doesn’t matter as long as it’s outside the box) and click the Set button.
The photo should no longer appear in the contact information window.
Thank you so much!
I too am trying to get rid of the photo when sending an email, but I do not have the box in the bottom left corner of outlook with contacts, calender, mail etc. in it. Can you please help?
