Barely a Yankee?

Just wait until I get outside the United States. There, there will be no dispute that I’m a Yankee. Or ‘Merkin. Or Yank.

Yup, it’s true. I took the Yankee or Dixie? quiz that I gacked from . It’s verdict? “45% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category.” I took umbrage at the idea of being barely a Yankee, as I was raised north of the Mason Dixon line. Not much north, ’tis true, but still….

Lovely idea, followed by the lovely credit card balance being checked, lovely decision to say “Hey, I can afford this,” and last, but certainly not least, the planning with my lovely .

Yup, that’s right, we’re going away for the weekend. A long weekend, even better, with three days in Williamsburg, VA. We’re taking the Colonial Escape vacation package and staying from Saturday through Monday at the Woodlands Hotel & Suites It should be a lot of fun.

Happy Valentine’s Day, ! I’m glad you liked your present.

I’m home sick today. I ignored a mild fever and congestion most of this week, dosing it with the appropriate Tylenol depending on whether it was night or day, and today my fever and congestion decided they weren’t being ignored anymore. So, while I was curled up on the sofa this afternoon, I heard a *pound, pound* on the door. When I opened it, I discovered a package addressed to me. Inside: Filet mignon! Whoo hoo! Genuine gourmet food! is the best sister ever!

That’s when I discovered the other cool gift that she’d gotten for me: dry ice. Whoo hoo! Mist machine in the sink! I have some photos, and hopefully I’ll be able to post them later.

I ran across this today: http://www.amazon.com/gp/misc/flag.html/ref=gw_pres_cand_61137/102-2443464-4853767

Frankly, I never knew so many people were running for President. I also chuckled nastily that Lyndon LaRouche has only managed to garner $15.00 in contributions, as of Friday, Febrary 6th at 10:40AM.
