Privileges is an interesting app (dealing with a similar issue right now), so question: does it allow for auditing? Like when someone uses Privileges, does it log what they’re doing with admin privileges? Not from a punitive POV, but from a “why are people needing this, and is there a way to help them get that thing done without needing it?” POV?

There is auditing, but what’s logged is when admin privileges are granted or removed. What folks do with their admin privileges is beyond the scope of this auditing, so other tools would be needed to gather that information. For more information on Privileges’ capabilities, please see the Privileges wiki: https://github.com/SAP/macOS-enterprise-privileges/wiki
